Experience

Greetings!! Thank you for visiting my website! I am a licensed clinical social worker with fifteen years of experience in the field. I have worked in healthcare as a clinical patient advocate and with families as a medical social worker and hospice provider. I also have extensive experience working with families and individuals providing counseling and facilitating communication around such issues as grief and loss, LGTBQIA+ topics, chronic and terminal illness, trauma and healing, and neurodiversity. I have taught as a clinical field instructor for the University of Washington School of Social Work and served as a clinical supervisor for MSWs seeking state licensure for over five years.

Philosophy and Values

My priorities in my work with clients are collaboration and self-determination. I use a strengths-based empowerment approach that utilizes diverse perspectives and backgrounds as a lens to explore your experience. I engage a humanist, compassion-driven alignment that takes into account the structural forces that may be impacting you and support you in navigating them. I love teaching and mentoring, and I feel that I learn as much from my students and supervisees as they learn from me! I love clinical collaboration and deeply enjoy the process of engaging together to serve and assist others. I also emphasize sustainable work practices and self-preservation in my supervision.
